We are offering a Birth Process Workshop (aka Womb Surround) for birth professionals this summer/fall.
This is an opportunity to come together and explore your own birth and have a new experience of coming into the world. People come with intentions like "I want to experience feeling truly welcomed", or "I want to have the supportive space to find my intention for my life". With a beautiful form and set of principles (developed by Ray Castellino and his students), we co-create a space for safe healing that is body-based and relationally focused.
Birth professionals will find that this experiential learning and personal healing directly translates to being able to be even more present during births, to understand the process from the baby's perspective, and to have more tools for supporting bonding and attachment. This process also supports deeper understanding for how to prevent and heal birth trauma.
The workshop will be one night a week for 5 weeks, for 4-5 people. We'll also have 30 min zoom calls in between the sessions for debrief (this is for cognitive integration of what happened, and these will be recorded and given to the person whose turn we are debriefing, and the other participants if permission is given). It's our preference that you have back up for those hours, so you can be fully present during our time together. We offer this workshop in a weekly format, vs the usual 3-5 day intensive form, so that birth professionals and parents can more easily participate.
